i hope they call me on a mission...
Well, the wait is over! I don’t have to hope or dream (or stress) anymore! So here’s the story…
So, rewind to August 13th, I knew the call was coming… You know how some old people say they can feel its gonna rain “I can feel it in my bones” (read in a shaky old scruffy voice) well, I had that experience haha! I knew the call was going to come in the mail that day. So, I called into work and asked if I could work earlier so I could basically stalk the postman all afternoon… So I got off from work around 3 and just sat there waiting… finally at 4:30 after checking the mail a million times… IT WAS THERE!! Probably the craziest feeling ever holding that in my hands knowing that inside was a paper telling me where I would serve. It was probably on the same level of amazing-ness as getting a letter from Devon after 6 months of nothing! (dude, that’s pretty major right there!) Anyways, so I had to wait until all of my family was there… (basically the longest wait ever!) So at like 6:30 I FINALLY opened my call, yes I was emotional, yes I was freaking out and yes, I was totally shaking! Anyways… I am called to serve in the…
Crazy huh?!? I am sooooooo excited it is ridiculous! I will be speaking Portuguese, which is soooo sweet! My dad served in Brazil (portuguese is their national language) so he is super stoked, we now have a little “bond” haha. Anyways, the only completely retarded part about this whole mish deal is that I don’t report to the MTC until December 30th!!!! How lame! Hello, I’m pretty sure I put my availability date ASAP!! My ideal situation was me going into the MTC like around my birthday which is October 16th… But nooooo; I guess the Lord has other plans for me… danget. So, that changes things around jus a lil bit! haha. I now am doing another semester of school (shoot me) and just getting ready for the mish!
You needed to stay a little while longer so you could take our homecoming pictures. That's why you didn't get to leave as early
